Initially, it was called <em><strong>Iber\u00e1 Provincial Nature Reserve<\/strong><\/em>, but in 1993 its name was changed to it&#8217;s current official name. At that time, it comprised 480,000 hectares belonging to the provincial state, including wetlands, lagoons and land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today, <strong>Iber\u00e1 National Park<\/strong> is a magnificent Argentinian reserve that has 183,500 hectares. This Wetland natural sanctuary includes two management areas: The Iber\u00e1 National Reserve and the National Park. Its mission is to contribute to the integral protection of the Iber\u00e1 macrosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are looking for sustainable tourism and activities, the <strong>Iber\u00e1 National Park<\/strong> is definitely one of the places you should visit in Argentina&#8217;s Northeast region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:25px\">Location and access gates to Iber\u00e1 National Park<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Iber\u00e1 National Park is located in the region of the Iber\u00e1 Wetlands in Argentina.This natural reserve has four access gates, immersed within the Iber\u00e1 Natural Reserve: Laguna Iber\u00e1 Portal, Cambyret\u00e1 Portal, San Nicol\u00e1s Portal, and Carambola Portal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here, we list the gates of the Iber\u00e1 Natural Reserve and their locations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Laguna Iber\u00e1 Gate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Laguna Iber\u00e1 Gateway is located to the southeast. It is the most well-known and visited gateway in the park, situated in the town of Colonia Carlos Pellegrini. In the vicinity of this entrance, a wide variety of tourist services are available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the Laguna Iber\u00e1 Gateway, enjoy boat trips on Lake Iber\u00e1, the largest in the park, where you can admire aquatic flora and fauna. To reach the Cambyret\u00e1 access gate is 143 miles from Corrientes, 9 miles from Ituzaing\u00f3, and 5 miles from Villa Olivari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cambyret\u00e1 is the closest gate to the Paran\u00e1 River, offering a variety of landscapes, from estuaries and lagoons to jungles and grasslands. This access gate the largest in this natural reserve, featuring an extensive trail network that go through different landscapes, including forests, wetlands, and lagoons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entering through the San Nicol\u00e1s Gateway, you can observe a great diversity of birds such as the Jabiru, Crowned Eagle, and Yellow Cardinal, as well as other animals like howler monkeys, river otters, and giant otters. Boat trips on Lake San Nicol\u00e1s, horseback riding, and cycling are also available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Carambola Gate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Carambola Gate is located on the western edge, 118 miles from Corrientes. It is the newest gateway in the park, known for its beauty and tranquility. Aquatic species also include irup\u00e9, water lilies, poppies and small ferns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fauna of the Nature Reserve includes the <strong>Black Caiman<\/strong>, <strong>Water Boa<\/strong> snake, <strong>\u00d1acanin\u00e1<\/strong> and <strong>Yarar\u00e1<\/strong> snake. In addition, visitors have the possibility of living a great experience surrounded by a variety of wild animals in their natural habitat, such as <strong>Capybara<\/strong>, <strong>Howling Monkey<\/strong>, <strong>River Otter<\/strong> and <strong>Swamp Deer<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many of these species have declared Natural Monuments by the Province of Corrientes, such as the <strong>Maned Wolf<\/strong> and <strong>Aguar\u00e1 Guaz\u00fa<\/strong>.
