What is the weather like in the Iberá Wetlands?
The average temperature in the Iberá Wetlands is normally between 14ºC/57°F and 22ºC/72°F, since it is a region with a tropical climate and high atmospheric humidity. However, the weather may vary depending on the season of the year.
In summer, the maximum temperature may go higher than 40°C/104°F; while in the fall and winter, the minimum temperature may go as low as 5°F/41°C, with abundant rains.

- As the temperature rises during the day, but it is cooler in the morning and night, remember to pack a windbreaker and a light coat, and comfortable and waterproof shoes.

- In any subtropical climate, using mosquito repellent is key. In our rooms, you will find a complimentary repellent to use whenever you need. The guides also carry repellent in all activities.
- Rubber boots and an umbrella will come in handy on rainy days when going on excursions. No need to bring yours; we will provide these items at Hotel Puerto Valle.
- A camera is a must-have for traveling since this place has incredible natural landscapes that you will want to immortalize.
- Having snacks, drinks and food in your backpack will allow you to have a bite during long days, when you go on walks and do activities that require a lot of energy. But if you come to our lodge, you don’t need to bother about bringing any of this; as we’ll gladly provide it.
- Of course, packing comfortable clothes and shoes is also key to enjoy the wide range of activities available in the Iberá Wetlands.
Remember: if you come to Hotel Puerto Valle you will only need your clothes, camera and sunscreen, as we’ll take care of the rest: the hotel provides rain boots and umbrellas as needed, and insect repellent will always be available in the rooms and common areas.
